Objectives -  Approach and methods

The objectives and the goals are:

• The creation of a network of collaboration on the theme of the documentation, recovery and promotion of the "citadels" heritage.
  The network will be engaged in activities of research, dissemination, training and orientation for operators and accumulation of the know-how on the project theme.

• Experimentation and appraisal of a GIS based information system to manage data to facilitate organisation, storage, access, retrieval, manipulation and synthesis in the solution of fortified towns problems.

• Realisation of an interactive information system on the web, called DYMIS, as a European tool for consultation and research among experts and specialised institutions involved in the conservation of citadels.

• The methodological approach taken to achieve the objectives of the project follows a dynamic flow between specialization and generalization, between diversification and integration, between work done by individual partners and work done jointly by the consortium.
